Buxton Blue is a cousin of Blue Stilton. This cheese is lightly veined and has a deep brown red color which evokes its particular flavour. Buxton Blue is a blue-veined cylinder-shaped cow's milk cheese which ages for six weeks. It matches very well with a  glass of sweet wine.
Buxton Blue is protected by a PDO and is only produced near Buxton, with milk from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. It is similar in taste and appearance to Shropshire Blue.
